Writing Paper Part 2. Task Type: Review
| Content Should include a quick introduction to the TV show, and an outline of the format. There should be a description of who the programme appeals to and whether the writer thinks it is entertaining. |
| Communicative achievement Could be fairly neutral or even informal in register as that is consistent with the requirements of a review. The reader would be informed and would understand why you had made your choice. |
| Organisation The title of the TV show should be included in your answer early on. There should be a brief introduction, then individual paragraphs giving a clear outline of the show's format, who it appeals to and a general conclusion. |
| Language Language of summary, personal opinion and justification ('In my view....'; 'One of the most entertaining moments is when....') Does not have to be completely accurate but any errors should be minimal. |
