Being able to write the same thing using different words and expressions is a very useful skill and shows your ability to express yourself in English. Try the following exercises to practise.

For each question, complete the second sentence so that it means the same as the first.

Were there any questions above that you got wrong? Learn any new patterns you find. The best way to do this is to use them in sentences that mean something to you. For example, in question 3 we had this pattern:
The choice of food here is not as good as in the market.
The food in the market is better than here.

Use these patterns in sentences of your own. For example:
My English is not as good as my French.
My French is better than my English.
