The Kubota Restaurant has a long held a reputation for being one of the most atmospheric eateries in the region because the house is built T with stylish bricks and has a garden filled with incredibly beautiful flowers. Inside the house, you will find tasteful wooden table sets and eye-catching decorations on the walls, while relaxing background music is playing T, WO The restaurant is off the beaten track, but you can get there easily as the staff will kindly T, WW tell you the directions over the telephone.

My girlfriend and I arrived at 5.30pm on a Friday for our pre-booked /\ WM course dinner. The table to which the waiter initially guided /\ WM was near the entrance, but after we asked a favour of him, we were able to move to another table near a large window, from which WW we enjoyed the outside scenery of colourful maple trees in the setting sun.

The course menu started with a fresh salad of avocado and salmon. Its taste was T, WF fantastic as the perfect seasoning stimulated our appetite. Both my partner and I selected meat (Matsuzaka beef) as our main dish, which was extremely tender, along with mouth-watering creamed spinach, baked potatoes and fluffy milk bread. The dessert was our all-time favourite Tiramisu, which made us be WW on cloud nine. One slight criticism would be that it took a little longer for dishes to be served than expected, which was totally acceptable.

The waiting staff was WF polite and obliging, but unobtrusive. They were kind enough to give us tips on how to relish each meal to the full and we were impressed with their hospitality. With all drinks included, the price was as low as 10,000 yen for two people, which was worth waiting /\ WM and paying for the special dishes and the great service. The other diners was surely agreed WT as the restaurant was always full of people. Strongly recommended.

Feedback

Content
All content is relevant to the task. You have covered the atmosphere, attitude of the staff, the quality of the service and whether the restaurant is good value for money, so a full answer.

Communicative Achievement
You have written the piece in the style of a review of a restaurant. The register is suitably neutral. You could have considered using more in the way of contractions to create an informal tone, but this is a matter of choice rather than a problem.

Organisation
The review is very clearly and logically organised. Each of the four paragraphs deal with a specific point. You have used simple linking devices such as 'and', 'but', and a range of well-constructed relative clauses.

Language
A good piece of writing. You have shown your ability to use grammatical structures and topic vocabulary to express simple and more complex ideas well. Most of the suggestions I have made are just that: suggestions. There were very few mistakes as such. Check for missing words in future.

Well done!
