A wonderful 15 minute activity I've just done with two FCE groups:

Tell students that you're going to play some relaxing music and suggest 3 things to imagine while they listen. Students close their eyes and listen. As the music plays ask students to imagine they are travelling and, leaving thinking time between questions, ask:

"You're in a country. What country are you in?
You're in a village. What's it like?
You see some people. What are they wearing? What are they doing?"

After another 15 seconds or so stop the music and get students to recount in groups what they imagined. The results I had were fascinating, with students "travelling" through such far flung places as China, Austria and California and all with the most vivid and personal "trips" to recount including out-of-body style experiences!
