What is EXAM SUCCESS Plus?
EXAM SUCCESS Plus is a subscription-based service that gives users at FCE, CAE and CPE level access to extra test material, above and beyond what is already on the main Flo-Joe site. It is a programme of self-study resources designed to help you organise your exam preparation into effective chunks. EXAM SUCCESS Plus is based on a login system, which requires a valid username/password to access it.

Who is it for?
EXAM SUCCESS Plus is for students who are preparing for FCE, CAE or CPE. (For more information about these exams please visit the 'About FCE/CAE/CPE' areas in the main Flo-Joe site.) It can also be used by the General English student who wants to improve his/her English and who enjoys studying online, or those who are preparing for other language exams such as IELTS.

What language areas and skills are covered?
EXAM SUCCESS Plus is designed to give you exam-style practice and skills-building in Reading (Paper 1), Writing (Paper 2), Use of English/English in Use (Paper 3). Each week the following areas are covered:
Two Grammar and/or Vocabulary points relating to Paper 3, with an explanation and tests in exam-format.
A model answer for an exam-style Paper 2 (Writing) task
An exam-style Practice test for a Paper 1 part (Reading) or Paper 3 part (Use of English/English in Use)
Word of the Day Revision Test, containing 5 phrasal verbs, 5 different collocations and 15 word formations.

What about listening and speaking skills?
EXAM SUCCESS Plus does not cover Listening (Paper 4) or Speaking (Paper 5) directly, although as your proficiency in English improves - through the acquisition of new words and phrases - it will enhance your skills in these areas too. Of course, we advise you to make the most of your opportunities to practise speaking and listening both in and outside the classroom.

How many hours of instruction is included each week in EXAM SUCCESS Plus?
This depends on how much time you have to devote to studying but we estimate it will take the average student around 26 hours in total. (Approximately 2 hours per weekly unit.)

Can I get my work marked?
All of the tests for Reading, Use of English/English in Use, grammar and vocabulary in EXAM SUCCESS Plus are self-marking so you get instant feedback about whether your answers are right or wrong. For the writing task, which also appears on the main Flo-Joe site, you will get a model answer with key points highlighted. We regret that we do not provide a correction service for writing tasks at the moment.

How much does it cost?
A single user subscription will give access to EXAM SUCCESS Plus for 13 weeks for the following cost:

What do I have to do to subscribe to EXAM SUCCESS Plus?
When you purchase a subscription you will create your own username and password that you need to login each time.

How do I pay?
We take online payments primarily by credit or debit card only. (Customers must be over 16 or the purchase will have to be made by a parent or guardian.) This method of payment is both the safest and the cheapest for customers. If you are currently living in the United Kingdom and have a sterling bank account then it will be possible for you to pay by cheque. Please email: payments@flo-joe.co.uk for more details.

How soon can I use EXAM SUCCESS Plus once I have paid?
As soon as you have had your credit card details successfully authorised you will automatically go to a sign-up page where you will be asked to register a user name and password of your choice. Within 24 hours you will receive confirmation from Flo-Joe that your username/password has been authorised and you will be able to login to EXAM SUCCESS Plus immediately from the Flo-Joe home page (http://www.flo-joe.co.uk). How long can I use EXAM SUCCESS Plus for?
Your password is valid for 13 weeks/91 days. One week before your password account expires we will write to you by email to remind you.

It's more than halfway through the programme. Can I still sign up?
Yes. You can sign up at any time in the current series, even in the final week if you wish. All the exercises and tests from previous weeks are put in an archive so they are available for you to use for the full duration of your password account.

What's the difference between Series 1 and Series 2?
Series 1 and Series 2 are two separate packages, each with different exercises, that run one after the other. Series 2 is currently available for subscription and will be updated each week until 8th June 2008. Subscription to Series 2 will begin on 9th June 2008.

Are there any special hardware or software requirements to access EXAM SUCCESS Plus?
No. You just need a PC with a browser installed and internet access. If you can view the main Flo-Joe site and tests you will also be able to access EXAM SUCCESS Plus without a problem. Take a look at our recommended specifications if in doubt.

What happens if I forget my password?
When you login you will be able to request that a new password is sent to you. Please ensure you keep your username and password details safe.

What happens if I give my password to someone else?
A subscription is for one user only and must not be shared with another person. (Before you buy a subscription you will be asked to sign the conditions of use to say that you agree with this condition.) Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully to make sure you are aware of what will happen if this condition is breached.

Is there a limit to the number of times I can do the tests and exercises?
No. You visit the EXAM SUCCESS Plus pages as often as you like.
