NOTE: These guides were published in 2008 prior to the changes to FCE which were introduced for the December 2008 exams. They have proved so popular that we have kept them online for teachers to use. Some of the information referred to, such as the title of the Set Texts, will now be out of date.

"Teachers: Do you know the latest on the changes to the Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE)? Here's how to make sure that you and your students don't miss out on the essential info!”

You'll have heard by now that the FCE exam was updated for December 2008. It's nothing to worry about as the changes are fairly minor. However, you'll still want to know the answers to these questions:
What are the exact changes, and how significant are they?
When are they taking place? (And why?)
What does it mean for me and my students?

If you're at all concerned then there's no need to panic as we've put together a free tutorial for you and it's called "Everything a Teacher Needs to Know About the New FCE".

Over 10 days we'll email you 5 mini-lessons (one for each of the five FCE papers) with a description of the changes and a brief commentary. Each email has just enough information to digest over a cup of coffee, we promise.

We'll also include a link to an easy-to-print (or photocopy) one-pager on each of the five FCE papers, showing the current specifications alongside the new ones, so you can see at-a-glance what the differences are.
